Short Bio

My passion is helping to create healthy teams and organizations that produce outrageous business results. When coaching teams, I tap into their inherent desire to achieve greatness. When advising leaders, I share the success (and failure) patterns I have seen for Agile adoption.

Having studied teams, organizational change and culture for over 20 years, I spent the past eight years leading and advising large scale enterprise Agile implementations. I love working at all organizational levels, but I especially like being the champion of teams, and helping management find their way in this new world.

I have been fortunate to coach more than 15 Agile teams, advise many more, to train several thousand folks, and to be in the position to study up close scores and scores of Agile teams of all different stripes, sizes, dispositions and temperaments. That has taught me a lot and made me keen to share that experience with others.

I specialize in team effectiveness, the role of management in an Agile world, and the effects of organizational culture on Agile adoption. I have training in leadership coaching, organizational systems coaching, and a few more exotic disciplines we can talk about after hours. I am a certified professional facilitator and in the middle of a certification program in organizational & team coaching.
