Manifesting Agility

Producer: Dan Mezick (producer) New Technology Solutions Inc

Real agility occurs in a moment—in the moment when everyone involved just “gets it”.

The Manifesting Agility stage is all about techniques for rapidly developing a deep understanding of the empirical Agile mindset, and about rapidly putting that mindset to work—as individuals, and as groups.

Agile is crossing over into domains outside of software. This Stage also includes sessions on how to apply the Agile approach in any situation where people assemble in teams, to accomplish shared objectives.

This section of the conference is full of hard-hitting sessions, all of which are keenly focused on three big ideas:

Cognition and Psychology

Learning and Education

Applying Agile to non-IT Domains

Details:

  • Cognition and Psychology- Techniques and tools that develop awareness and cognition of real Agile thinking at the individual and group levels. You can also find sessions here on group dynamics and group psychology. This includes material on behavioral topics such as cognitive psychology, group-level dynamics, and team behavior.
  • Learning and Education- Effective classroom and experiential learning techniques that manifest a real embrace of Agile’s core and essential concepts. Attend sessions here to learn about best practices in Agile education and learning.
  • Applying Agile to non-IT Domains- Agile techniques are crossing over into many non-IT situations. Come and listen to experience reports on how real Agile techniques are being applied effectively OUTSIDE of IT. Learn from hard-hitting material on the use of Agile techniques in the domains of business and non-profit organizations. Attend sessions here to gain the experience of others outside of IT who execute non-IT work using Scrum and agile techniques.
