Agile & Organizational Culture

Producer: Mitch Lacey (producer) Mitch Lacey & Associates, Inc - http://www.mitchlacey.com/

Agile is all about changing your organization. It’s not only about changing the way you work and changing the way you think – transitioning to agile in a sustainable way requires new principles, perspectives, and values. Change doesn’t come easy. An agile initiative doesn’t take place in a vacuum - it directly impacts the existing (organizational) culture on multiple levels.

Agile creates change in the fundamental aspects of the ways people work and interact, which for many organizations, is a traumatic and disconcerting event. The result is a predictably visible degree of resistance from the existing system as it seeks to establish a new equilibrium around the changes being introduced. This is a process of mutual adaptation, where one possible result is that the agile initiative can be destroyed by the organizational immune system.

On this stage you will find presentations focused on culture on teams, organizations, companies both large and small.
